Modeling?

So most of my watchers know I do stock modeling with :icondella-stock: (which I love to do, who doesn't love dressing up crazy?)

My aunt really admires the photos I've shown her and although I told her she was insane, she said "you could really do this and get paid Larissa".

Is it crazy to think I could get paid to model?

It'd be a nice way to pay for college.....
(like Izzie from Grey's Anatomy. lol)

How does one even get into modeling?

All I know from watching ANTM and the Tyra show is that you never pay them. You get together a portfolio. You interview with a clean face. You don't have to do nudes or simulated nudes, all models have a sheet saying what they won't do. Try finding an agent. There should be some in Atlanta. Its not a part time thing though. It's life altering. I'd talk to KC Cox about it. She was part of that world once. Do research (you know which research I mean) If you think that you can balance it with the more important things in life, I think you'd make a good model.

Model Mayhem, One Model Place, are both places to start. Figuring out just what it is that you wish to do in modeling and what your limits are is very important. Then finding a good photographer that will help you develop a portfolio of "professional" material is important, as that is your selling point. Its time consuming and it takes a lot of energy and dedication, but it is possible, though what you choose or limit will have an effect on who is willing to work with you and the work you will have available once you are well enough along to begin asking for compensation for your time and skills.
